Frequently asked questions
What counts as a "page"?
Each page of your uploaded PDF counts as one page. A 5-page bank statement uses 5 pages from your plan. Re-processing the same statement does not consume additional pages.
How are payments handled? Is VAT included?
All payments are processed securely by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles VAT, GST, and sales tax compliance in 50+ countries automatically. The price shown at checkout is final — no surprise charges.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. An upgrade takes effect immediately and starts a new billing period that day, with your new plan's full pages, and the unused time on your old plan is credited against the price. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You can manage everything in the billing portal with no calls required.
What if I go over my page limit?
Converting pauses when your plan's pages are used up. On any paid plan you can buy extra pages at $0.10 each, from 100 pages, and carry on straight away. Bought pages never expire and are only used after your plan's pages. If you go over every month, the next plan up costs less.
How do pages work on yearly plans?
A yearly plan gives you the whole year of pages upfront, on the day you subscribe: 3,600 on Starter, 10,800 on Professional and 30,000 on Business. Use them whenever your work needs them, a busy tax season included. Pages left at the end of your year do not carry over.
Do unused pages roll over?
No. On a monthly plan your pages reset at the start of each billing month. On a yearly plan they last the whole year and reset when it renews. Bought extra pages never expire.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
The free tier gives you 10 pages every month, with no card required, so you can test Documentric on your own statements before paying. A statement longer than the free pages you have left shows a free preview of its first 3 pages.
Why is Documentric cheaper than DocuClipper?
At the same 300 pages a month, billed monthly, Documentric Starter is $19 and DocuClipper Starter is $79 (DocuClipper’s pricing page, checked 23 Oct 2026). We keep our running costs low and pass that on.
