Terms of Service

Documentric(“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a cloud-based platform that converts PDF bank statements, invoices, and receipts into structured data formats (CSV, Excel, QBO) using AI-powered document extraction.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use the Service. By creating an account you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at hello@documentric.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Upload documents you do not have the right to process.
• Use the Service to process or distribute unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our APIs beyond permitted rate limits.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent.
• Circumvent any access controls, authentication mechanisms, or billing systems.

All paid plans are billed through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance (VAT, GST, sales tax), and refunds on our behalf. By subscribing you agree to Paddle's terms at paddle.com/legal/terms.

• Free tier. Paid plans do not include a free trial. A free tier is available instead: one conversion every 24 hours without an account, or 10 pages per month when signed in, with a limit of 15 pages per document. No credit card is required to use the free tier. Paid plans are charged the applicable plan price from the start of the subscription.
• Billing cycle. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Annual plans are billed as a single upfront payment.
• Upgrades and downgrades. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Page quotas and overage. Each plan includes a monthly page allowance that resets on your billing date. Unused pages do not roll over. If you exceed your allowance, your work is not blocked: additional pages are charged at $0.10 per page and appear on your next invoice. Top-up packs are one-time purchases that expire at the end of your billing month.
• Failed payments.If a payment fails, we will retry according to Paddle's dunning policy. Continued non-payment may result in account suspension.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal accessible in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access until that date. We do not charge cancellation fees.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Documents you upload are stored in cloud object storage and kept until you delete them. You can delete a statement at any time from your dashboard.
• Extracted transaction data is stored in our database alongside the document it was extracted from.
• We do not sell or share your document content with third parties except as required to operate the Service (see our Privacy Policy for the full list of sub-processors).

The Service can connect to third-party accounting software, currently QuickBooks Online by Intuit. An integration is optional and works only after you connect it and authorize it with the provider.

• When you connect QuickBooks Online, you authorize Documentric to read the company information it needs (such as the chart of accounts, tax rates and vendor names) and to create in your QuickBooks company the bills and expenses you choose to send, with their documents attached. We send nothing without your instruction.
• You are responsible for reviewing what you send, including amounts, accounts, tax rates and vendors, before and after it reaches your accounting software.
• You can disconnect at any time from Account → Integrations or from within QuickBooks. Disconnecting ends our access; transactions already sent remain in your QuickBooks company.
• Your use of QuickBooks is governed by Intuit's own terms. Documentric is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Intuit, and is not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services.

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Documentric and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.

You retain ownership of the documents you upload. By uploading documents you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process them solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Intuit and QuickBooks are registered trademarks of Intuit Inc. Used with permission. Other product names are the trademarks of their respective owners.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that extracted data will be 100% accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

You are solely responsible for reviewing extracted data before using it for financial, accounting, tax, or legal purposes.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Documentric and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) $100 USD.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Documentric and its affiliates from any claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

Documentric is operated from Pakistan. These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute should first be raised with us at hello@documentric.com, and we will try to resolve it informally. If that fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Pakistan.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice for material changes that adversely affect paid subscribers.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you breach these Terms, without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policy.
